Arguing About Spanking
I've been having a pretty intense argument over spanking with Angie at Angie the Anti-Theist. She's an extremely passionate spanking opponent, whereas I think mild spanking is harmless. Since I've already written enough for a long post, I thought I'd just link the comment thread if anyone is interested.

Wow. Poor Angie is so scarred from her own experiences that she's blind to common sense on this issue. I wouldn't have argued with her about it at all. You were exactly right to compare her stance to that of a religious person. You made some great points there that I think you should edit into a post for your blog.
ReplyDeleteWell, I've found her to be pretty reasonable in general even when we disagree. Some of the things in her post just irritated me enough that I wanted to comment.

She got annoyed at that, but I don't see how you can go through the kind of experience she had and retain much objectivity on that particular subject.

Thanks. I was thinking about doing that, since I had written so much. But I got lazy and just linked the thread.
